Matthew Huff and Sherry Lawrence join Dennis Cronk to fortify Poe & Cronk as industry leader for generations to come
Poe & Cronk, the region’s leading commercial real estate firm, announced the addition of two new Principals today in a strategic move to manage the firm’s growth and further secure the organization’s position as an industry leader for its clients and top performing professional brokerage team.
Matthew Huff will now serve as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and Sherry Lawrence will continue as Chief Financial Officer. In addition to being Principals, both will serve on the firm’s Board of Directors. “Matt and Sherry’s investment and leadership skills will be of significant importance to the success of the firm,” Dennis Cronk, President/CEO and majority owner, said. “The energy and experience these two bring demonstrate their commitment to the success of our clients and the real estate professionals representing Poe & Cronk. A Roanoke valley native and summa cum laude graduate of Virginia Tech, Huff exemplifies one of the new faces of business leadership in the region. Named one of Roanoke’s “Top 20 Under 40”, Huff’s energy and determination have long been a driving force at Poe & Cronk. Awarded the firm’s Overall Top Producer on multiple occasions, Huff is recognized throughout the region as a leader in commercial real estate. In addition to being a Licensed Real Estate Broker, Huff has been awarded the distinguished Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) professional designation.

Sherry Lawrence is a long-time valued employee of Poe & Cronk. Lawrence, a lifelong Roanoke Valley resident, joined the real estate group as controller in 1993 and has served as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer since 2005. As CFO, Lawrence is responsible for the execution of all accounting and administrative aspects of the firm. She works closely with administrative staff and the firm’s team of property managers to minimize costs and maximize performance of managed assets. Lawrence enhances the Poe & Cronk leadership team with expert experience and a proven track record of success.
