Poe & Cronk Real Estate Group today announced the sale of the long-time Roanoke Auto Springs property located at 401 Williamson Rd., NE, across from the Berglund Civic Center. This ±3.2 acre site, currently improved with three brick shop buildings, is highly visible from I-581 and centrally located near the intersection of I-581 and US. Rt. 460 (Orange Ave) in central Roanoke.

The Purchaser is Member One Federal Credit Union, which is now the largest financial institution headquartered in Roanoke, VA. Matt Huff, CCIM of Poe & Cronk Real Estate Group represented Member One in its purchase. The property sold for $2,500,000.

“Member One is one of Roanoke’s best success stories. They continue to grow and provide hundreds of good local jobs, as well as being one of Roanoke’s most charitable organizations in supporting our local communities. This strategic acquisition will allow them continued room for growth for years to come,” Huff said.

Frank Carter, President and CEO for Member One added, “We are very excited about the opportunity to expand the area around our corporate campus. The purchase reinforces our commitment to the area—we’re from here and we are staying here. Our campus currently holds our Corporate Headquarters, Main Retail Center, Administration Building, and a fully-staffed Real Estate Center. Developing this site further will allow us to support long-term growth and future operations in the Roanoke, Lynchburg, New River Valley and Franklin markets while providing greater accessibility for our employees and members.”
