Lead Building Engineer

Greg serves as the Lead Building Engineer at Poe & Cronk, where he oversees maintenance of the Wells Fargo Tower and 105 Franklin Building.

Greg has over 30 years of experience in the facilities management and engineering field, holding various roles throughout his career. His professional background includes a position as a Building Engineer at Allstate, where he developed extensive expertise in maintaining and overseeing building operations. In 2015, Greg enhanced his technical proficiency by earning certifications in Maintenance Technology and HVAC from Virginia Western Community College.

In addition to his work at Allstate, Greg spent 10 years with a Fortune 500 company in the Roanoke Valley, excelling as a Facility Manager and Lead Building Engineer. His diverse background in managing building systems and his technical certifications have provided him with the expertise to oversee large-scale facilities and ensure their optimal performance effectively.

A little something about Greg

I spend time on the farm as a cow/calf producer, buying and raising feeder steers, making hay, planting, and harvesting crops, and helping my son raise sweet corn.  I also serve the community as the 2nd Lieutenant at my local volunteer fire department.
