The Roanoke Valley is committed to providing a solid education to residents of all ages. The region offers a wide variety of educational opportunities – from award-winning elementary, middle, and high schools and high-tech magnet centers to parochial institutions, business colleges, and top-ranked universities.

The Roanoke Valley’s four school districts serve more than 35,000 students:

In addition to providing a solid elementary and secondary education, the Roanoke region is known for the 20+ colleges and universities that are located within a 60-mile radius of the area and produce a highly-trained workforce of more than 13,000 graduates a year. The region is home to a unique mix of two and four-year; public and private; single-sex and coed; business, technical, medical, military and religious colleges, universities, and schools.
